Correspondence, articles, election handbills, resolutions, proceedings, and newspaper clippings collected by Mr. Shultz, who served as financial secretary of GM Local 222, Oshawa, Ontario, and participated in the General Motors Strike of 1937. From his position as financial secretary of Local 222, he became one of the original organizers of the credit union movement in Canada. In the 1940s, he was a member of the Reuther Caucus, and president of the Canadian Labour Congress. He is presently a member of the board of directors of the Canadian Credit Union Society. Subjects include the 1937 GM Strike in Oshawa, credit unions, and the UAW Political Action Convention (1943).
