Society of Women Engineers member Linda Sue Boehmer, recipient of the 1977 Richland (Washington) Young Career Woman award, works with an ultrasonic transducer inside a glovebox at the Hanford Engineering Development Laboratory. Working for Westinghouse Hanford as an associate engineer, Boehmer was involved in developing and testing breeder reactor instrumentation.
