Professor Ramsey began teaching at Detroit Normal School in 1919. She was highly respected for her work in children’s literature, folklore and the education of children. The collection includes teaching materials from the 1930s and 1940s, papers given at conferences and seminars, writings and book manuscripts as well as correspondence from many significant persons in the field of children’s literature and publishing.
