Haviland Reves majored in journalism at the College of the City of Detroit and graduated in the 1920s. An active member of the Alumni Association, he corresponded with the first director of Alumni Relations Homer Strong, as well as university President William R. Keast during the 1960’s. Reves was involved with the campaign to preserve the Old Detroit City Hall Building, and the politics surrounding the building of the James Couzens Highway. His reviews of books and performances during the 1920s and 1930s are included in the collection.
