(28641) Riots, Housing, Sojourner Truth, Detroit Police, 1942

Detroit Police attempt to disperse a crowd of white men, some of whom are armed with bats, from the area surrounding the Sojourner Truth Housing Projects. The men wanted to keep their neighborhood segregated from the African American families who were preparing to move into the adjacent war housing project.
