The AFSCME International Executive Board (IEB) met with President Jimmy Carter at the White House. At the head of the table is AFSCME International Vice President (IVP) Father Albert Blatz of Minnesota; right of Carter is AFSCME President Jerry Wurf; left of Carter is AFSCME Secretary-Treasurer William Lucy; left of Lucy is IVP Gerald McEntee of Pennsylvania who went on to be AFSCME president 1981-2012.
