The more than 2,200 members of Sharp Professional Nurses Network (SPNN), part of the AFSCME affiliate United Nurses Associations of California/National Union of Hospital and Health Care Employees (UNAC/NUHHCE), organized in 1996. They succeeded in getting their first contract in 1998.
