In June 1990, just after Nelson Mandela was released from prison, members of the Free South Africa Movement, a collaboration of various civil rights groups in the U.S. arranged an American tour for the Africa National Congress President. One of his stops included an address of the AFSCME International Convention in Miami, Florida. Here, Mandela and his then wife, Winnie, arrive in Miami.
