Topics discussed include the rise of the militant teacher, first collective bargaining, first strikes, AFT political structure, Shanker vs. Selden fight, and Oceanhill-Brownsville. The collection also includes an interview with four participants in the 1946 St. Paul Federation of Teachers strike, conducted in 1974 as part of the History of Minnesota Labor Project.
