(324) The funeral procession of Nagi Daifullah

Over 7,000 mourners march with the casket of the slain farm worker Nagi Daifullah en route to his funeral at the Forty Acres, Delano, California, August, 1973. Dailfullah was a 24-year old picket captain of Yemanese descent who died after being struck in the skull by a police flashlight. Cesar Chavez stands to the left of the American flag, Dolores Huerta stands to the right (in poncho).
