Labor economist Morris Weisz worked for the National Labor Relations Board, the War Production Board, held various positions in the U.S. Department of Labor, and taught courses on international and U.S. labor history at various domestic and foreign universities. Mr. Weisz’s papers relate to his intellectual interests and professional activities, particularly concerning his work with labor and industrial relations groups in India. The Bannockburn Cooperative Housing Community of Maryland, the Foreign Service Institute Labor Attaché Training Program, the Labor Diplomacy Oral History Project, and UAW factionalism are among important subjects addressed in the collection.
