Vernon Keye was the director of Wayne State’s student mental health clinic for several years in the 1950s and 60s. He was heavily involved in the effort to create licensing standards for Michigan’s social workers and counselors. His papers reflect his work with the American Association of Psychiatric Social Workers, which later became the National Association of Social Workers, and his participation in numerous social work conferences.
