Shanker, Albert

Taxonomy at the Reuther Library utilizes the combination of three main authoritative lists of controlled vocabulary:

  1. Library of Congress Authorities http://authorities.loc.gov/
  2. ERIC descriptors http://www.eric.ed.gov/
  3. Reuther descriptors - localized list of personal and corporate names, subject and collection families, as well as Web site content types and hierarchies.

Please note that all categories provide links to other content "tagged" as related to the same subject, which brings like items together with the fewest number of clicks possible. These taxonomy links may also be found on all content nodes for your convenience. For more information concerning controlled vocabularies used on the Reuther Library's Web Site, please contact the Technical Services Archivist. The drop-menu "Quick Links" navigation to the left offers a limited list of our most frequently researched areas and is subject to change periodically.
