Detroit's Rosedale Park neighborhood was developed in the late 1920s-1940s and listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. The "Rosedale Park News" is the official publication of the Rosedale Park Improvement Association, a nonprofit organization that advocates on behalf of the historic residential area. Published as a monthly local newsletter the "News" has reported on the neighborhood since 1958. Harriett Mottley, a Rosedale Park resident since the 1970s, served as one of its editors (1993-2005). The collection is comprised of past issues of the Rosedale Park News. They document a unique perspective of that community over the course of five decades.
