Ben Martin (d. 2013) a long-time Detroit area resident, was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 58 since at least the 1970s. He also drew the comic strip Ben Sez, a humorous depiction of members of the union and union issues.
The collection contains five three-ring binders of original comic strips drawn by Ben Martin. The comics are of Ben Sez, a comic strip that chronicles personalities within the IBEW Local 58 from the 1970s to the 1990s.
