Armand Nevers was a printer for the Detroit News for over 35 years and a member of the Detroit International Typographical Union Local 18. He participated in strikes against the Detroit News and Detroit Free Press in the 1990s and became an outspoken proponent for union rights nationally.

The Armand Nevers' papers contain Detroit News strike videos, "No Scab Papers" lawn sign, two large banners, photos, labor calendars, framed Detroit News Strike graphic, clippings, pamphlets, sign-in sheets for Action Coalition of Strikers and Supporters, anti-Iraq war buttons and bumper sticker.
