Newspaper articles collected by Mr. Kanter, who served as Strike Committee chairman during the Cadillac sit-downs (1937) worked for Detroit West Side Local 174 (1937-39), and fought in the Battle of the Overpass. The Homer Martin split (1939) and the Ford Strike (1941) are covered.
