(5100) Strikes, Steel Industry, 1919
Posted April 29th, 2015 by eclemens
Houses, presumably worker's company housing, are removed by way of wagon during the Steel Strike of 1919.
Caption on the back reads: "Steel at Gary Houses are being moved away by order of President Gary." It is assumed the caption refers to Elbert Henry Gary, president of the Federal Steel Company.
