In his work as an International representative of the UAW, Mr. D'Agostino was instrumental in launching the Kent-Montcalm-Ottawa Regional Recreation Program in the early 1950s. In 1954 he assisted Detroit recreation employees in their fight for higher wages. Throughout the 1960s-1970s, Mr. D'Agostino fought for the rights and well being of senior citizens, helping to establish the first UAW sponsored recreational senior center in the Detroit area in 1963. The papers in this collection reflect these facets of his work and the union's recreation program as a whole. Correspondents are Edward Connor, Kenneth House, Karl Lindgren, Olga Madar, Louis Miriani, Roy & Walter Reuther, Del A. Smith, Leonard Woodcock, and Eugene J. Van Antwerp.
