Mr. Copeland has represented the Twenty-seventh District (the Downriver area of Wayne County) in the Michigan House of Representatives since 1952. He serves as chairman of the House Appropriations Committee and is also a member of the Capital Outlay, Administrative Rules, Air Pollution, and Water Pollution committees. His papers cover tuition grants, Michigan Osteopathic College, pollution problems, water resources planning, mental health, state budgets, and Democratic politics. Correspondents include William Broomfield, Jerome Cavanagh, John Dingell, Philip Hart, and Walter Reuther.
