




Joe Placentia was born in Los Angeles (East). He worked with the UAW for 41 years, including serving as President of UAW local 808, as international representative of Region 6, and as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention 4 times. Placentia retired from the UAW on July 31, 1989. This collection contains reports, correspondence, and perspectives on immigration and illegal immigration dated 1975-1977, particularly in regard to Southern California.
