Arthur A. Almeida was born in about 1929 and lived in San Pedro, California. He helped found the San Pedro Bay Historical Society. With his interest in local history, Almeida documented history of the early labor efforts including International Workers of the World (IWW) local - Maritime Transport Workers 510 and International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU). Includes a speech given by Paul Ware and historical articles by Almeida about early organizing efforts in San Pedro and Los Angeles. Arthur Almeida is married to Irene and they had three children, Arthur 'Joaquim', Marjella, and Lourette.
