Reuther Library 50th Anniversary: Events in the Archives exhibit
April 17, 2025 – July 14, 2025
The Walter P. Reuther Library at Wayne State University is pleased to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its building with the debut of a new exhibit, Events in the Archives.
Since its dedication on May 23, 1975, the Reuther Library has served as more than a research facility—it has grown into a dynamic center for learning, collaboration, and community engagement. Over the years, we have hosted hundreds of educational programs, conferences, exhibits, and public events, creating a space for exchanging ideas and making memories. Events in the Archives includes images from our collections that highlight individuals, gatherings, and pivotal moments that have shaped the library’s history and continue to inspire its mission today.
Events in the Archives will be on display in the Leonard Woodcock Gallery through mid-July. The exhibit is free and open to the public during business hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. For more information or to explore additional materials related to the history of the Reuther Library, please contact us at reutherreference@wayne.edu.
