




Tom and Janet Canterbury were active in the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) in Lowndes County, Alabama. Their papers reflect the Canterbury’s involvement in the civil right movement, and the activities of the SNCC in registering African-American voters in Southern states.
