




An associate of Peruvian political leader, Victor Raul Haya de la Torre, Anna Melissa Graves led efforts to liberate de la Torre during his imprisonment by the Peruvian government. Ms. Graves’ papers document de La Torre’s imprisonment and describe the political and social conditions of South America from the 1920’s to the 1940’s.
