Radical union activist Tom Mooney was a member of the International Molders Union (IMU) and the Socialist Party. Mr. Mooney was convicted of participating in the San Francisco Preparedness Day bombing of 1916, which resulted in 10 deaths, but was later pardoned after 20 years of imprisonment. Mr. Mooney’s papers consist of copies of correspondence between Mr. Mooney and IMU member, E. A. Carlson, and a series of articles related to the Mooney legal case, radicalism and the West Coast labor movement.
