




A member of the United Steelworkers of America (USWA), Edward Sadlowski served as president of Local 65 and as USWA District 31 Director. Mr. Sadlowski’s election as director of District 31 came as a result of a re-election following an investigation regarding violations in the initial election, which Sadlowski had lost to his opponent, Samuel C. Evett. Mr. Sadlowski’s papers primarily concern the events of the District 31 election, documenting the campaigns, investigations, and media coverage of the election.
