John H. Zieger emigrated to the United States from Germany in 1913 to enter a Franciscan Monastery in Syracuse, New York. After leaving the order, Mr. Zieger became a radar and nucleonics technician for Western Electric and Allen B. DuMont Laboratories. Mr. Zieger's papers relate to his involvement in union activities in the Western Electric Employees Association and DuMont, and to his interest in humanism and socialism.
