Dr. Cree was instrumental in planning the merger of the Detroit Medical College and the Michigan College of Medicine in 1885 to form the Detroit College of Medicine. An 1883 graduate of the Michigan College of Medicine, Dr. Cree was an active member of the alumni association from its beginning in 1886. Recognized as the historian for the medical profession of Detroit, he served as historian for the Detroit Academy of Medicine, Wayne County Medical Society and the Alumni Association of Wayne University College of Medicine. The alumni association history is covered from 1886-1889. Also included is a Michigan College of Medicine Autograph book dated 1880-1881, a Wayne County Medical Society Autograph book dated October 1945, and Wayne University College of Medicine Alumni Association Golden Anniversary material from 1945.
