These papers reflect Miss Fleming’s experience as a teacher in the primary grades in Detroit from 1903-1908. Miss Fleming began teaching at the Detroit Normal School in 1903. She then served as principal of the Marr Training School in the 1920s and then as supervisory principal of the practice schools until the mid 1940s. Lesson plans and the original play “Pontiac’s Conspiracy,” as well as correspondence regarding its performance, are included in the collection.
