




Originally Scovill Brass Workers Union, Local 569 of the International Union of Mine, Mill & Smelter Workers (CIO), United Auto Workers Local 1604 was chartered in 1950 and represented metal workers in Waterbury, Conn. Its records reflect routine operations and activities of the local as well as its relationships with Scovill Manufacturing Company and other companies; community organizations; and local, state, and national labor organizations.
