This collection documents the history and activities of the InsideOut Literary Arts Project based in Detroit, Michigan. Founded in 1995 by Dr. Terry Blackhawk, its mission was to place professional poets and fiction writers in Detroit Schools to encourage imaginative writing and to promote self-esteem and confidence in students.
