The Reuther Library will be closed Wednesday, February 22, as Wayne State University shifts to remote operations in anticipation of inclement weather. We can support your remote reference needs via email, and expect to be back to our standard Reading Room hours on Thursday, February 23. Stay safe and warm!

The Walter P. Reuther Library is proud to announce the recipients of the 2023 Sam Fishman Award.

These annual grants provide up to $1,000 to support travel to the Reuther Library to access archival records related to the American labor movement.  read more »

The Reuther Library's Reading Room will be closed this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The University is closed Nov. 24 and 25.

We are open Tuesday the 22nd and back to serve your research needs on Monday the 28th.

As of November 2022, the Leonard N. Simons Jewish Community Archives (JCA) is moving to a brand-new collections space at Temple Beth El as partner in the newly formed Center for Michigan Jewish Heritage. The JCA collections at Reuther are closed to patrons in preparation for transfer. Potential researchers and visitors should contact JCA Director Robbie Terman at terman@jfmd.org to plan your research visits going forward.  read more »
