Mrs. Rosa Demis, an attendee of the annual party of the Detroit Austrian Society, held at Carpathia Hall, enjoys a glass of beer. 1,200 people attended the event, all dressed in national costume. An estimated 68 barrels of beer "went down the hatch," according to the photographer's notations.
