Correspondence, minutes, reports, pamphlets, and miscellaneous printed materials collected by Mr. Genske, who served as financial secretary and chairman of the Shop Committee, UAW Local 581 at the Fisher Body plant, Flint, Michigan. He was also a participant in the 1937 Flint sit-downs. Material covers UAW factionalism ( 1940-60). Correspondents are David Dubinsky, Richard Gosser, John L. Lewis, Ralph Marlatt, Blair Moody, Philip Murray, Jacob Potofsky, Victor Reuther, and G. Mennen Williams.
