Street view of businesses along John R. Street at the corner of Columbia Avenue. Businesses include: Lipin's Hand Laundry (2134-2138 John R), unidentified tailor shop (possibly owned by Abraham Stoller), White Cabin Lunch, and Express Moving. At right, the edge of the Hotel Fairbairn (250 E. Columbia) is seen. The site is now occupied by Comerica Park.

Note: A sign promoting the political campaign of George S. Fitzgerald (D) for Prosecutor hangs above the entrance to the White Cabin. Fitzgerald was known at that time for his role in prosecuting members of Detroit's Purple Gang.
