(4020) AFSCME members picket in Detroit, 1972

AFSCME Council 77 (which later became part of Council 25) members picket outside the City-County Building (later known as the Coleman A Young Municipal Center), in front of the Spirit of Detroit statue. A man carries another man on his shoulders. Their signs read “Kids need recreation no cuts” and “No cuts no layoffs.”
