Russ Bellant served as the Co-Coordinator of the Greater Detroit Committee of the Committee Against Registration and the Draft (CARD). His papers relate primarily to the work of this and other anti-draft organizations, particularly concerning the federal government’s efforts in 1979 and 1980 to revive the Selective Service System.
