The daughter of United Auto Workers (UAW) organizer Wyndham Mortimer, Irma Mortimer Stewart worked as a union organizer of the California aircraft industry. The Irma Mortimer Stewart Collection includes personal papers, as well as documents related to family friends, Henry and Dorothy Krause, and to Wyndham Mortimer’s career. Included are autographed drafts of Henry Kraus’ books, The Many and the Few, and, In the City, and a corrected early draft of Wyndham Mortimer’s book, Organize!
