




The United Auto Worker International Affairs Department was created in 1955 with Victor Reuther as its director. Herman Rebhan served as his assistant from 1969-1972. Their records reflect the activities of the department during the years which they worked together. It also documents the operation of the Social, Technical, and Education Programs (STEP), a division of the department created in 1966, until it was elevated to departmental status in 1973. Subjects include: Agency for International Development; IMF; International Confederation of Free Trade Unions.
