The National Farm Workers Association (NFWA) was founded in 1962. In 1966 it affiliated with the Agricultural Workers Committee to form the United Farm Workers Organizing Committee (UFWOC). The activities of this office included working toward a state wide boycott of California iceberg lettuce, and gathering information about farm labor in the state itself.
