(7687) Money found in Philadelphia sewer

In January 1969 AFSCME Local 394, Council 33, members Louis Lagana and Cardell Williams were working to unclog a blocked sewer. The object clogging the sewer: a ten pound ball of money. The Philadelphia sanitation men turned the money into police who are shown here piecing the mostly hundred dollar bills back together. City Hall officials determined that Lagana and Williams could split the $92,400.
