Alex Kovacs was employed at Dana Corporation, Detroit, Michigan and was an active member of the UAW Local during his employment at Dana Corporation. He attended many UAW Leadership Training Institutes and was actively involved in the local labor movement. After retirement, Kovacs remained involved with UAW Local 2 and served as President of the UAW Union Local 2 Retirees Chapter from 1987-1996. His papers reflect his work with Local 2, including the Retirees Chapter meeting minutes from 1972 to 1996.
