Father Blatz was president of the Minnesota Council of State Employees (AFSCME Council 6--now Council 5) and an AFSCME International Vice President. Left of Blatz is AFSCME President Arnold Zander, and right of Blatz is Leo Kramer, special assistant to President Zander.
