Longtime AFSCME member Ernest Westin reminisces about the early days of the union on the 50th anniversary of Local 66 in Duluth. The American Federation of Labor chartered Local 66 in 1919, 17 years before it chartered AFSCME in 1936. Local 66 joined AFSCME in 1937.
