Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) president Rev. Ralph Abernathy and United Auto Workers (UAW) president Leonard Woodcock carry coffins as the March Against Oppression “Liberation Train” makes its way through the streets of Atlanta. The two coffins symbolize the recent deaths of eight African Americans in Augusta and Jackson. On the right side of right coffin, wearing denim jacket, is Walter Fauntroy, the SCLC legislative counsel in Washington.
