Alice Tolan, volunteer aide Mrs. Lillian Hodge, Cornell Askew and Debrah Anne Ross read a book together at the Adams H. Sarver Building, 9780 Quincy, a branch of the Boys’ Clubs of Detroit. A day care center was established at the building to assist children displaced by the civil unrest of 1967.
