Photographer's caption: “Army paratroopers move into Detroit from nearby Selfridge A.F.B. as the shooting, arson and looting in the two days of riots continued to a new peak. Snipers attacked 4 police stations and pinned down several fire battalions trying to fight the spreading fires.”
