(28073) Demonstrations, Museum of African American History, Detroit, 1995
Posted February 15th, 2012 by eclemens
Demonstrators carry pickets in front of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul on Woodward and Warren in protest of the nearby Charles Wright Museum of African American History. The protest was against the creation of a core exhibit at the Charles Wright Museum designed by a “non-black” person that showed the interior of a slave ship. At front, holding a sign that reads "Slave Museum," is the artist Benny White Ethiopia Israel. Behind him, with face in profile, stands Abdul Raheem.
